Does Your Marketing Leadership Style Shine Through Your Brew? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Coffee is the second most traded commodity on Earth, second only to oil.

Coffee is the second most traded commodity on Earth, second only to oil.

Mmmmm…. there’s nothing quite like that rich, delicious smell of coffee wafting through the air. For 83% of adult Americans, coffee is at least an occasional indulgence and for 75%, it is a daily necessity. You may even be one of the 54% of people who say that drinking coffee makes them feel more like their “regular self.”

Have you ever wondered what your coffee habits reveal about who that “regular self” is in terms of your marketing leadership style? Perhaps people with certain marketing styles are drawn to certain types of coffee drinks—or, is it that coffee drinks shape someone’s approach to marketing a brand? This week, Blogging Out Loud spills the beans on what your favorite coffee drink says about you and your marketing tendencies.*

Recognize Your Style?

Of course, the coffee survey is all in good fun. But it begs the question: do our coffee habits spill our marketing profession? And if so, dedicated coffee drinkers, what do your coffee habits say about YOU?

Very fun blog and informative read! I fall under the Latte Lover (my cup’s half full) and in the 75%tile in coffee statistics feeling the need for a daily cup of coffee. I just enjoy the habit! Never really thought of matching my coffee habits to marketing though! See you Latte!

Very fun! There’s an old saying that instant coffee is the punishment for those who are too lazy to brew their coffee! I think that the same rule applies to those that think that instant, off-the-internet-shelf marketing solutions will be as rich, robust and satisfying as marketing that is carefully researched, skillfully prepared and elegantly presented by marketing professionals!

Hi Jeff! Thanks for stopping by. And I love that old saying–so true! I’ve resorted to instant coffee in times of desperation and “instantly” regretted it! And I totally agree with your other observation, too–its worth the extra time to create a thoughtful, insightful, and ultimately far more effective campaign.

I’m a gibraltar/cortado girl, so it makes sense that my style falls between the cappuccino and espresso categories with a splash of the complicated order. Either way, my cup is always half full!

Looking forward to more infographic-driven posts.

      hi Nofrey–
I try to be a cup-half-full girl too…but when I drink coffee, my cup’s usually empty before i know it. Time for cup two!

Very fun infographic in the blog this week. I believe my leadership style falls somewhere in the Cappuccino Connection area but my actual flavor of choice is a mocha. “Java” nice day!
