What do David Ogilvy, Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and your marketing career have in common? Simply answered: it’s wisdom.     Earlier in my career it always amazed me how much the client’s promotion agency knew about how products were sold in to the trade and merchandised in-store, and how little other client agencies knew of this process. It all gets summed up with this Bud Frankel quote: “You can’t design something without being intimately involved and being sensitive to the needs of the trade. It’s essential to know everything we can and we’ve spent a lot of time learning the client’s business.”
